(Cue in clouds) Well, my idea that Tori would christen the new tub and J.J. could use his new shower this past weekend went down the drain in a disappointing whirlpool. . .When Tim unpacked the tub last week, it had a huge crack at the top and the wrong size shower door was ordered! And the nice young clerk at Lowe's helped me with the wrong-sized fixtures for the vanity sinks. So those didn't get put in either! Grrrr. . . Well, after time on the phone and two trips to Lowe's we got everything straightened out. The tub and shower door is on order once again, and we got one fixture we needed for the sinks. (The other had to be shipped from another store.) At least our toilet is in and working. . . so we are once again a two-toilet family!

(Cue in sunshine) With all that disappointment going on with the great bathroom fix-up, at least we had a great weekend. The weather was a "balmy" 60 degrees by the afternoon. We were so ready for some sunshine! Most of my beautiful Saturday was spent cleaning construction dust while Chris took the kids out for lunch and a RSCC baseball game. That night was our East Tennessee Families with Children from China (FCC-ET) Chinese New Year celebration. We had a great time seeing everyone and feasting on the great dumplings from a Chinese restaurant who catered the event. This year Tori was into all the dancing and popping the bubble wrap at the end (to simulate the sound of firecrackers). Sunday brought more gorgeous weather, and after church, a trip to Market Square for lunch and the Home and Garden Show.

(Cue in more sunshine!) This week I have been working on a trip to Disney World in June. All it took was for Tori to say to her Paw Lowell, "I want to see Mickey!" So, this is where we are now. . .five nights at one of the Disney resorts with park tickets, a meal plan, and some special events already scheduled (like dinner with the princesses and a make-over at the Bibbity-Bobbity-Boo Boutique. Jonathan has yet to pick out what special thing he wants to do.)

Well, the clouds came once again this week. Sigh! I had a scope done by my gastrointerologist and an ultrasound to see about all the stomach issues I have been experiencing since before the holidays. Yes, I should have already seen about this sooner, but well, I was hoping it would go away! Stupid to think that, I know. . . I have suffered with IBS almost as long as I have had Type I diabetes. From the scope on Tuesday, I do know that I will have to take my medication more often until things settle down. And today's ultrasound results should be in on Monday. . .My mom really thinks I am suffering from gall bladder issues. I usually don't try to whine and complain about all my medical woes because I have always tried to live a "normal" life. But, as I am getting older, I have many days where I just don't feel up to par. And lately, I just don't feel well most of the time! Please just say a prayer for me as I wait for the results of my test. I sure am hoping that the gall bladder is normal, so we don't have to talk about something drastic like surgery. I really don't have time for that!

I am not really sure what this weekend is going to look like for the Whaley family. . . let's hope more sunshine than clouds! We are going to try to get the last coat of primer on the bathroom walls, then paint it before Tim comes back to install the last of the fixtures. But beyond that, no major plans and no where we have to be (except Sunday is my volunteer time with the K-3rd kids). Right now just being home and piddling around the house sounds good!

Well enjoy the pics from last weekend. I hope that your weekend is full of sunshine, literally and figuratively!

Cindy

I'll be praying and thinking of you. I'm sorry you've been having struggles with your health. I can't wait to see your construction progress. You and I are definitely kindred spirits with our construction woes. Our floor installation did NOT happen today....urrrrrrrr. Chris was up until 2:30am painting her walls in anticipation of the carpeting going down. Drat.

Take care of yourself. Hugs!

Darling pictures. I love the flowers in Tori's pigtails. She's just such a girly-girl. Thanks for the heads-up on the purple butterflies. I'll be heading there this week. We're so close now and almost ready to decorate Emma's room.

PS. Our flooring guys confirmed that they will be here tomorrow morning. They had better be!!! I'm ready for the next phase. I did 12 loads of laundry this weekend to make up for not having a washer/dryer last week. Yuck!
