You've Got Mail!

Something we have enjoyed this month is sending each other "heart" mail.  Our "heart" mail is just a little note to a family member to tell them something heart-felt like "I love you" or "I am proud of you."

Each evening we choose a name and send that person mail.  Tori has loved being the postmistress and making sure to watch those mailbox flags go up to inform you that, "You've got mail."

Our mail station is under our new official V-day tree.

Our mantels are decked out and ready for the holiday devoted to hearts, yummy chocolate, and flowers.

A dear friend gave me this heart last year made of different patterned fabric pieces and adorned with pearl strands.  The picture doesn't do it justice.

Thanks to Kim K, now I have a new obsession in crafting!  This was a left-over heart candy box from last year, decorated with a little folded fabric, scrapbook paper, a cherry blossom sticker, a vintage image from a children's book (again thanks to Kim), a drink umbrella, and touches of glitter.  This one is going out to our favorite West Coast girl, who I have lovingly named Lil' Miss R.  (It will be on its way tomorrow with the rest of your package!)  Kim, you have created a monster! :)

Well, our V-day crafting session is set for high noon on Saturday.  Believe me, the wheels are turning and the organizing and planning is well under way...
Hope your Thursday is the best!

Your Valentine decor is simply fabulous!! What a cute idea to give everyone their own special mailbox. Your Asian heart box turned out wonderful. I'm so in love with that graphic and am glad I picked up that book at the antique store. When I find more vintage Asian-inspired little girl graphics, I'll be sure to send them your way.

I love every single photo!!! I think it so wonderful that you have a little mailbox for each member of the family - how special is that! We don't have Target in Canada, but I picked up one mailbox last year. I am going to the States next week and I am hoping to find three more as well as a little white tree like yours. Lovely photos!! and I am a sap for movies like "you've got mail" :)

I love your valentine mailbox idea! Unfortunately, my three kids are fighting like cats and dogs right now...I'd be afraid to see what they wrote to each other! lol!
