2011 Mother's Day Musings

Mom with her little minions for a Mother's Day brunch at Copper Cellar...Yep, they spoil me!
Tori and I were Mamaw Teina's special guests at the Mother/Daughter Banquet at her church on Friday evening. (She has been in charge of this event for at least four years now.)

J.J. and his Mamaw Sandy
Spending a warm Sunday afternoon on Mother's Day with Mamaw Teina and the whole cousin crew...

Taking a spin on Uncle Mickey's Gator...Those kids (including great Uncle Mickey and Uncle Tony) had a blast! All the gifts and cards made me feel extra special. Tori made all these things at preschool this week for me. I love it all, but my favorite is the flower made with her hand and foot prints.

It was a perfect, however busy, weekend. The perfect weekend to celebrate mothers and all the wonderful things mothers do to keep us healthy and happy. Enjoy the above photos!

Although I am a bit late, I would like to thank my mother for raising me to be independent and creative. She has taught me the meaning of loving and serving others. Through her faith she is strong, and she is the binding that holds us all together. Thank you for loving my children and being such a inspirational Mamaw. I enjoy spending time with you, and I am so blessed that you are my mom and friend. Mom, you are the best, and I love you dearly.

Also, I would like to thank my mother-in-law for raising such a thoughtful, intelligent son. His caring ways came from your examples as you loved him and taught him over the many years. Your faith is truly commendable. Thank you loving and teaching my children your gift of faith and generosity. You love me like a daughter, and I enjoy bragging to everyone that I couldn't have asked for such a loving, sweet lady to have for my mother-in-law. I love you very much!

To all the other ladies in my life who are gone and those still with me: Thank you for your inspiration, love, and devotion. I could never have reached this point in my life without you!

I love all my great friends out there in "blogland." You all are great moms, and I feel blessed to be a part of your lives. Thank you for sharing a little bit of you with me when you have time share despite your hectic schedules.

Happy Belated Mother's Day to all!

What a beautiful post and I especially appreciated your tribute to both you and your husband's Mother. I too had a wonderful, sensitive husband and I know that much of this was because of the way he was raised. And, I have a wonderful Mother too...in fact next month she will be !00!
