Reunion, Racing, and Splash Country!

Our Asian Angel (at this particular moment anyway!)

J.J. loved the NASCAR park so much that we have already booked his b-day party in September.

Becoming a pro at climbing and repelling!

Showing his little sis what the park has for kids her size. . .
. . .and being a good big brother to ride those rides with her.
Lil' Speed Racer!

They both love Splash Country!

Can you believe that we fit all of this in one day? Last Saturday (10th) we made a day of it in Severville and Pigeon Forge. J.J. was invited to a birthday party at the NASCAR park (Happy 11th B-day Caleb!) So while the boys (Yep, Chris, too) raced around the tracks, Tori and I attended the lunch part of the Chinese Children Reunion at the Cirque de Chine show. This was their second year of hosting a Chinese cultural day and performance for children of Chinese decent in the region. It was neat to see so many families there. . .And we even met up with a You Belong family who lives in Kingsport. After meeting up later in the afternoon, the Whaley crew headed to Splash Country for the first visit of the season. The new attraction is the Mountain Racer slide, and Jonathan loves it! We closed the park down, then ended our day with a great meal at The Blue Moose. Whew! What a day. . .but lots of fun!

Next up: Our Nashville trip (Yes, we have been the traveling fools this summer!) and Myrtle Beach vacation (You are reading the screen correctly. . .We are now on beach trip #2!)

Expect to hear from me often this week! I hate getting behind on posting. . .

Good night from the beach!
Cindy
