Settling Into Summer...

All this evening from 6-8:30, the kids have been visiting "Saddle Ridge Ranch" with all the other neighborhood "little doggies" for VBS at Trenton Street Baptist. Tonight is "family night" so there will be more to come later.
On Wednesday afternoon, J and T finally had a play date with J and M. Jewel took the boys, while I had the girls. T and M had a ball playing princesses and "sewing" with Tori's lacing cards. Unfortunately, later in the day, the kids and I had to take Perci to the vet. We discovered that she had a ruptured anal gland. She is doing much better, and she really has done well on her medication. What is ironic about all of this is that she had a grooming appointment on Thursday to take care of those glands. So, we are just going to have to take her every two months to make sure that this doesn't happen again.

Just call her "Fiona" from Shrek! (She thought that was funny since we went to see the fourth movie in the series yesterday.) Yep, she came home today from preschool with green feet due to a Father's Day project they are doing. She and her friends have moved up to another class, and I am really impressed with her new teachers.
My new favorite "haunt." My dear friend and neighbor, Pat, really is working hard to revitalize our downtown. She and some other ladies have opened a lovely antique store. Last night they hosted a preview night for the community. Of course, I found some treasures for our home, especially for the master bedroom, Tori's room, and the kids vintage beach bathroom.
Well, we have a busy weekend ahead, starting with tonight. I hope that your weekend ahead is full of lots of summer fun. . .Stay cool!
Cindy

I hope you had a wonderful anniversary. You are soooo busy with all your activities. Great pics. I just posted pics from Josie's rainbow party. It was fun and I'm tired.
