Sprinkles With Christmas Cookies

I know that the title of this post is a bit off, but Tori and JJ both love to decorate cookies. . .And the more sprinkles, the better. One occasion this season was a neighborhood affair. Several moms came up with the idea to host a "Cookies and Cocoa" one evening before Christmas. The kids and moms had a blast together cutting out, baking, and decorating cookies. One thoughtful neighbor made gingerbread people for the kids to decorate and hang as ornaments.

Tori was so into the cookie decorating thing, she talked her daddy (as you can guess is not that hard to do) into making cookies one evening just so she could add the sprinkles. Hey, it was a bit messy (and I am still finding a sprinkle here and there when I clean the stove top), but she and daddy had a fine time together.
Because Chris, Tori and I were sick or heading that way, we didn't decorate our gingerbread house on Christmas Eve like we have traditionally done in the past. Surely, our kit will last until next year!

The next post should recap our Christmas Eve and then we will move on to our Christmas Day excitement.

Until then we are trying to stay warm in this blast of Arctic air that has descended in the ET valley region. All I can say is that "Brrr. . .it's cold outside!"

Have a great evening,
Cindy
