A Visit to Music City, U.S.A

July 17-19 Chris had his annual Board of Regents meeting in Nashville.  The kids and I always tag along and play while Dad works.  However, Chris did have some extra time since one of his meeting days was cancelled.  So this time, we all enjoyed lots of play time.  This year, we decided to treat ourselves to the beauty of the Opryland Hotel.  JJ had never had the opportunity to go with mom to the Beta Convention like Tori had, so that was even a better reason.  The gardens and waterfalls in the atrium never disappoint.
We put on our boot-scootin' boogie shoes and headed downtown one night to experience the Wild Horse Saloon with a traditional Southern dinner complete with fried dill pickles.

At 5:30 on most evenings there is a country dance instruction.  These three were doing some fancy footwork!

At 6:00 the live entertainment begins.  Who knows, this young man may be the next Brad Paisley or Jason Aldean.

Tori got her carousel fix at the newly refurbished Opry Mills.  (It was finally reopened this spring after the terrible flood that hit that area in May 2010.)
While dad and team J and T swam and enjoyed poolside service with fruity drinks and nachos, they gave mom a surprise reprieve with an hour facial at the resort spa.  (It was beyond awesome, by the way.)  Thank you my sweeties!
