The kids really enjoyed the afternoon with lots to do like riding these "tractors" on the dirt course and picking out their pumpkins in their huge field.
Of course we hit the easiest of the corn mazes, but JJ was a good guide and Tori was a good assistant.
I can't believe that this was about two weeks ago! Between work, school, and other responsibilities our days just fly by...We blink and it is time to start the day all over again. I am glad to say that we are all currently on our fall break, and it came at such a good time for all of us. (It is unbelievable all the stress we have been under since the beginning of the school year, and the kitchen project has added to the chaos.)The first half of our break, we have been on a fall adventure with Mamaw Sandy and Paw Estel to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, and so the last half we are spending time here at home. We are tackling some projects around the house, but we have some fun things ahead, too. There are way too many things to do in this area at this time of the year, and we would hate to miss out on all the fall fun.
I am so happy to report that we are coming to a close on our major kitchen redo. The counter tops are set to be installed on Wednesday, and our great contractor will come on Thursday to lay the tile for the back splash. Paint and trim work will be all that remains. In between these stages, I will be working to unpack the remaining boxes of kitchen items and finally get things organized. What a ride this has been; I am so glad that this journey is just about over!
Decorating and crafting has been shoved to the bottom of my list, but I have done a few things. I hope to have a couple of more posts up by tomorrow highlighting our trip and featuring some crafts and decor for the season (AND catch up with my favorite blog buds and their adventures).
I hope that everyone has a fun fall Friday!

Cute pics of Tori and JJ. I'm so glad you are enjoying a bit of a break from work. I'm eager to see the kitchen project.
Halloween hugs!
