Our Nicktastic Vacation, Part 2...Universal's Islands of Adventure

Getting ready to start the day...It was hot, but not unbearable because of the overcast sky.JJ and Dad's first ride of the day...The Incredible Hulk
One of the few rides outside the Seuss area that Tori was tall enough to ride. She became a little miffed at the whole idea as the day wore on. She is a bit of a dare-devil, and she doesn't like being so small. One of these days, baby girl, they won't be able to tell you "no!"
So, in Jurassic Park, Tori climbed and played on the splash pads while Dad and JJ rode the bigger people rides.
Making her own fun!
JJ was getting concerned that his sis was being left out of the fun. He was relieved when we finally arrived at Seuss Landing and even rode all those "kid" rides, too.
On the Caro-Seussical...
Riding the "Red Fish, Blue Fish" ride
Welcome to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter...JJ sporting a Butter beer mustache (tastes like butterscotch with a shortbread frothy topping) We sampled it while waiting in line for the 4-D ride. Just a small warning for those with fragile stomachs...The ride and butter beer don't mix well. I learned that the hard way and felt queasy for the rest of the afternoon.
His favorite part of the book series is the Hogwarts Express...Well, that and the chocolate frogs. Tori was fascinated with the train, too.
JJ and Dad taking time to put on their thinking caps...

Check back soon for our rest day Monday!

It all looks like fun...except for the queasy part!

Looks like a fabulous day - I also hated height restrictions when I was that age!!!

You are bringing back all kinds of memories from last summer. Emma and Chris were in 7th heaven and Josie and I struggled to stay busy enough. Those height restrictions were a MAJOR source of frustration for J. Thank goodness for Seussville. I'm glad you are surviving the heat. Keep the pics coming!!

Looks like you guys are having a great time! I'm so jealous of you going to the Harry Potter world. I would LOVE to go, but don't know when I'll be able to (maybe I'll sneak away from the rest of the family for a day while we're at Disney in October... Think they'd notice?).

Ruby is also a daredevil and loves to go on amusement park rides! These Xu Wen girls are really something!

The parks on the East coast seem to have more stuff than our West coast versions. Nice for you guys!
Height restrictions sure are a big drag when you are under 48 inches tall. R was able to ride the tilt-a-whirl this year which she'd always considered a big kid ride but they have a 40 inch limit. She's 45 inches tall now! (sniff-sniff...my baby!).
