Just have to brag on JJ...He made the honor roll and was recognized at an assembly this past week. And he was in the school-wide spelling bee last Wednesday. Let's just say that I wish that I could spell as well as my son!
It was great weather to take Joseph up to Mamaw Sandy and Paw Estel's to drag the go-cart out and go for some laps in their field. Chris said that the boys had to have hit every mud puddle in that field. After looking at JJ's clothes (He jumped in the shower before I could see him.), I certainly could believe it!
What a gorgeous weekend! The temps were a balmy 60-65 degrees both on Saturday and Sunday. And as you can see, J and T enjoyed it immensely.
This week marks two celebrations at the Whaley household...the beginning of CNY and Perci's (our mini doxy) fourth birthday on the third.
JJ and I both have the writing assessment test on Tuesday...He has to take it as a fifth grader, and I have to proctor the exam for my eleventh graders. Please pray that JJ won't be nervous because he is usually a confident little writer. And pray that all the prep work I have been doing with my juniors will pay off with great scores.
I hope that your weekend was full of lots of sunshine and great moments...Have a great first week of February!

I can't believe your temps. It sounds almost spring-like. I'm envious. What a honor for JJ to be recognized. Way to go!! Such cool go-cart pics too.
Congratulation to JJ...I am a terrible speller and I really admire anyone that is good at it, especially someone so young; it really is a talent. Thank you for leaving me such a nice comment on my last post. Have a great week!

Way to go JJ!
We had some upper 50's days here and that's warm...as well as no rain for over a week. Booyah!
